What is foot zoning?
The feet contain a map of the body. Foot Zoning is the ability to read this map by understanding the body's signals through the foot. This holistic approach has existed for thousands of years and the knowledge that has been passed down has been built upon through time.
What results do you typically see?
We see all kinds of results because we work with all kinds of bodies and stresses. Often, we find nervous system regulation, toxin detox, improved circulation, increase of energy levels, improved immune systems, peace, balance, alignment, awareness, etc. The goal is to bring the body back to homeostasis.
What kind of people come see you?
We are here to promote overall wellness, so we see all kinds of people. We assist with emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical aspects of a person. So if any of these things feel "off", we can help clear blockages throughout the body to reset the body. We address trapped emotions, mental blocks, a sense of spiritual loss, and "dis"-ease within the physical body. If you are finding that any of these things sound like you, then we see you!
Can I come in if I am pregnant?
Reach out to me and we can chat. Most of the time we are more than happy to see you walk through our doors, but there are some special cases where we would want to be more cautious.
What happens during a session?
The sessions tend to be very relaxing. Come in, take your shoes off and rest. Foot soaks are an additional add on that is available, but a regular session takes place on the couch or the massage chair (your choice). We massage different areas of your feet and discuss what signals your body is giving us. We are simultaneously gathering information that is being held internally as well as clearing any blockages that we may find. We don't "heal" the body, but we discuss with you our findings so you know where to begin the healing process. However, oftentimes we do find that clearing the blockages do aid in the healing process.
How long is a session?
The sessions take place in 1 hour increments. If you decide to add on a foot soak, it adds 30 minutes to your session.
What should I wear and how do I prepare for a session?
You will have to take your shoes off for the session and wear a pair of pants that can roll up, as we need to have access up to the mid calf. It is also extremely important to come to your session well hydrated, so drink pleanty of water before being seen.
Does it hurt?
Foot zoning should never hurt. It should be very relaxing. If something is hurting, it is important to let us know.
How often should I come?
It is important that you learn to recognize your body well enough to know if you need to be seen. We don't ever want to pressure somebody to come in unless they feel the need to do so on their own. Look internally and if something feels "off" then it may be time to be seen again! Feel free to come as often or as little as you would like.
